Evgeny Bay, an individual ("we," "us," or "our"), operates the website foliolark.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit or use our Site.

Current scope: The Site offers free printable activity packs. Sales, newsletter subscriptions, external analytics and advertising integrations are not active. Downloading a current free pack does not require an email address.

1. Information We Collect

When you email us, we receive your email address, the message and any other information you choose to include. Please do not send children's personal information when asking about a pack.

Serving a page involves processing technical connection information, including an IP address and the requested resource. When you allow Analytics in Cookie settings, the platform also uses an optional internal monthly visitor counter: it derives a shortened hash from the month and connection IP address, stores the hash for deduplication on the Site's server, and maintains a monthly total. The hash is not treated here as a guarantee of anonymity.

The counter sets a cookie only after Analytics is allowed. It remains off when no choice has been saved or Analytics is declined. Turning Analytics off stops counting in that browser and removes the counter cookie. See Section 3 and the Cookie Policy. We do not currently use an external analytics service to build visitor profiles.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process information to serve and secure the Site, respond to inquiries, maintain backups and comply with applicable legal obligations. The internal monthly visitor total is used by the platform for licensing and the visitor threshold associated with the school representative service.

3. Legal Basis and Outstanding Review

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, the purpose and circumstances of each processing activity must support it. Operating a free site does not remove that requirement.

The Site asks for your choice before starting the optional internal visitor counter and lets you withdraw that choice in Cookie settings. This technical control does not by itself settle the assessment of processing grounds, applicable jurisdiction, international arrangements or any required representative; those matters remain under review. This notice does not classify the counter as exempt from consent.

4. Your Rights

Depending on the law applicable to your situation and its conditions, your data protection rights may include:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If California privacy law applies to this processing and to your request, the rights it provides may include:

  • know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • request deletion of your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information;
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Cookies

We use storage to remember cookie preferences and, where displayed, dismissal of the bottom banner. The optional internal visitor counter uses separate storage and follows the Analytics preference. External analytics and advertising integrations are inactive.

The Cookie Policy identifies the observed storage and its configured lifetime. The footer's Cookie settings control lets you allow or decline the internal visitor counter. Free PDF downloads remain available with Analytics turned off.

6. Service Providers and Other Recipients

  • OVHcloud (Frankfurt, Germany): hosts the Site, its application data and local backups.
  • Google Gmail: handles correspondence sent to our contact email address.
  • Playnest's licence service: receives licence validation information, including the Site's domain, application version, configured legal mode, month and aggregate visitor count. The inspected validation request does not send individual visitor IP addresses or hashes.
  • Authorities: information may be disclosed where required by applicable law.

These are different processing activities; the monthly aggregate sent for licence validation should not be confused with the visitor hashes retained by the Site.

7. International Processing

The Site's hosting server is in Germany. Email handling, licence validation and administrative access involve separate services or locations. The relevant international processing arrangements and safeguards remain under review. We do not claim that Standard Contractual Clauses or a representative mandate have already been put in place for every applicable activity.

8. Data Retention

  • Correspondence: the retention criterion is the time needed to handle the inquiry and any related legal obligation or dispute. A fixed automatic deletion schedule has not yet been established.
  • Internal visitor counter: the working count and deduplication hashes are replaced when activity is next recorded for a new month. The counter cookie has a configured lifetime of up to 32 days and is removed when Analytics is turned off. Withdrawing that choice does not by itself delete earlier server records. Earlier application data may remain in backups.
  • Backups: the current daily backup job keeps the latest seven successful copies; this is a copy count, not a guarantee of deletion after seven calendar days.
  • Technical logs: the retention configuration is still being verified. The Site does not currently make a guaranteed 30-day log-deletion claim.

Retention and deletion procedures remain under review.

Optional Fall Walk download measurement

After you allow Analytics in Cookie settings following this notice update, the Site can measure views and download attempts for its two Fall Walk packs. It uses a random identifier in this browser tab's session storage and a new random identifier in the file request for each click. Older saved choices alone do not start this new measurement. Free downloads work when Analytics is off and when the measurement service is unavailable.

The Site's own server records the pack and file version, timestamps, response status, byte counts and random identifiers. This measurement journal does not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, browser descriptions or referrer addresses. Technical connection processing elsewhere on the Site is separate. A complete server response does not establish that you saved, opened, printed or played the pack.

Turning Analytics off stops future measurement in this browser and removes its tab identifier; it does not automatically erase earlier server records. While the recorder runs, its working journal is limited to the current UTC date and six previous dates. Its small gateway buffer is limited by size and rotation; an idle buffer can remain longer. These measurement files are separate from the regular application-data backups. No external analytics provider receives these measurement events.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Site offers content designed to be used by children under adult supervision. However, the Site itself is intended for use by parents, guardians, and other adults — not by children directly.

We do not invite children to submit personal information. Adults should use their own contact details for inquiries and should not include a child's name, photo or other identifying information unless necessary. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
